For fetching engineering star images/data (i.e. ‘engcalib’ images), look for keyword ‘ao_confirmation’ . Depending on how you are fetching the data (using the notebook above or the KOA online GUI), you will be returned a table of query results prior to downloading selected images + metadata. Look for the keyword ‘ao_confirmation’ for engineering star files (these should also include a COMMENT keyword in the FITS header with the entry ‘LGSAO Checkout’)in the Astropy query results table (not the image FITS header itself) under the ‘target name’ keyword/column. These frequently include ‘ao_confirmation’ in either the OBJECT or COMMENT keywords of the corresponding FITS frames, but these are unreliable. Frequently, the COMMENT entry is ‘AOcheckout’ or ‘LGSAO Checkout’.
